(Day 104) Stop ! Help !

I was outside tonight looking up at the night sky with its gazillion stars (very little light pollution out here in the countryside - for which I am thankful). I had my camera with me, fortunately, because as I turned around I noticed that light was trying to escape from our house! Luckily, as you can see from this shot, I was able to stop it before it completely got away! Thank goodness the shutter closed just in time. When it did and I looked up, the light was safely back in the room - phew, close call! :-)

Hey Rick, I really like this one. Great creativity.

@Scott - thank you. The idea slowly 'dawned' on me while I contemplated the stars.

Really is a creative shot! Nice work.

I'm Sherlock Holmes when it comes to researching things that I've taken pictures of! And I don't mind helping people out once and a while ;)

What kind of camera do you use? Just curious...

@Avery - thank you, and thanks for being a great sleuth :)

I use a Canon XS, with a variety of lenses (slowly building my lens collection as I discover a need)

Very clever Rick! I like this very much ... the night skies were spectacular here in Brisbane last night too ... so many twinkling stars & very few clouds. There so much beauty in the skies...isn't there?

Rick you still never cease to amaze me with your shots, God really does put you in the right place at the right time, thankfully you have your keen eyes and camera to capture the moments. What a fantastic shot!

I didn't realize that you have an XS, I have the XSi which I get brave enough to use once in a while, this summer I'm hoping to get out more with it. I find it's too much to pack around all the time, especially with my books. I might be asking you a thing or two, the books take to long to read! :-)

Enjoy your day! Good night from this side of Canada.

@Katherine - thank you; life can't be too serious - gotta have fun too :)

@darlin - thank you; yep - I just show up and take the shot! :)

My XS goes everywhere with me - I gave my Sony P&S to one of my daughters when I got it. Go ahead and ask when you want - I'll try to answer.

That's a fantastic shot! It could have been taken at Hogwarts. Or used as a promo for a horror movie. LOL! Very cool.

Thanks again for following me and stopping by my blog!
