(Day 135) No colour, no life

Whilst I was on my forays out into the yard and garden lately I kept seeing interesting shapes and textures. I even made a few photos but they didn't fit with a particular day's theme, so I left the opportunity for another day. Today that other day arrived. I found it interesting how the weather over time has fashioned these.

NOTE: I will be traveling for the next few days, and will remember to ABC, however, I'm not sure if I'll be able to post each day. I'll try.

The black and white accentuates the lines and textures ... nature has some amazing artwork.

I've always been partial to black and white. Many years ago I had a dark room in the basement, and really liked doing b&W. All three pictures are very nice. I do prefer the last. Have A nice trip.

Hi Rick...I love these black & whites! I have some photos like these too. Dead wood has so much character..I especially love to see a tree that has met it's natural end and remains standing naked in a field. It makes for such an amazing still picture.
Travel safe & have a good time wherever it is your venturing too!

Such a good decision—the B&W and we are left with the essence. Excellent. Happy travels.

Wow! These are magnificent texture shots, Rick! I love the last one the best. It reminds me of when you have large gaps in your memories. You know how you can tell how old a tree is by counting the rings? Well, large pieces of the rings are missing - it's like "The Forgotten Years" or something mysterious like that. Excellent shots!
