(Day 216) The boating set

I took the time today to go for a little stroll near the beach where we spent the afternoon. There were all sorts of photo opportunities and I wasn't sure what to post - I had enough for several days, so perhaps I'll revisit the area in the near future to show you what else there was. However, there was a yacht club about 200 yards from the beach, on a canal that leads to a bay which then leads to the gulf. I watched a lovely boat (which fits the description of most of the boats in this area) go up the canal past some exclusive real estate - no mention of the word 'recession' here - and made my way over to the yacht club. Unfortunately it was well-protected by a high barbed-wire fence so I didn't have direct access, however, I was able to shoot through the gaps near a gate. It looked to me to be the preserve of the well-heeled.

Well heeled indeed and they probably don't want paparazzi like you lurking around LOL! Glad you did though these are great shots.

So this is what the rich and famous live like, wow! Beautiful captures Rick, I too love reflections and can't put my finger on why... I just do.

@Scott - ha ha, I said hello to a lady who was watering some plants outside the yacht club - not sure what she thought of me making photos through the fence but she didn't offer for me to walk around inside ;-)

Thanks Scott!

@Photog Ave - thanks Avery! I think I need a second blog where I can post 'extra' photos I make on my daily shoots. When they're 'day olds' or 'days old' I don't use them here.

@Happy Flower - thanks for the visit and comment; went and checked out your musings - had a chuckle or two. Come back for another visit when you like.

@Costea Andrea Mihai - thanks Costea!

@darlin - yep, not sure if they follow the news; maybe their butler let them know about the recession ;-)

Thanks Darlene!

Love reflections, Rick ... as you have artfully shown, boats and water make great subjects.

I'm with the remarks about the reflections ... :-)

@Biana - dankjewel Biana- 't is heel mooi hier in Florida.

Doeg.

@marty - merci beaucoup marty. C'est tres jolie ici!

Have a great weekend! Bisous!

@chasity - thanks Chas; I had made a few photos there, also some other reflections, but this one I liked best too. Ha - good thing I didn't sway too much when making the photo - you might have swayed even more! ;-)

@joey - almost can't go wrong with that combo ;-) Thank you joey!

@S. Etole - I find them interesting too - even more so when they distort reality just a little. Thanks Susan!

Both photos are really beautiful but the reflection is just great!

@CarreraCaballo - thank you Joseph; that was also one of my favourites. The colour of the lifesaver caught my eye when I passed by so I wanted to include it. Have a great weekend!
