(Day 344) Just phor phun

Taking a cue from Scott, I looked around today to find something phun to shoot, actually before I brought the camera out. Sometimes the eyes make a connection quickly, at other times the brain strains to come up with an idea. I walked around the house a bit, pulling out a few weeds and setting up the daily watering of the new palms (we're into week 4 of 4). As I came around the back into the lanai, I spotted something that I might be able to work with.

My wife threw me one of those I-have-no-idea-what-you're-doing-but-I'm-not-going-to-ask looks as I set about to get creative with a common object found in almost every home. Then I did a little tweaking with some editing software I had found on the internet, since I don't have PS. And just phor phun because it's Phun Phriday.

Something straight out of a science fiction movie. Definitely Phun.

Hmmmm, now you have me thinking... and I came to blogger not to think! (as I silently chuckle) What could this be? A sink stopper, a fancy dish, ohhhh maybe a strainer or what's the other word for it, a colander? Final answer... a colander. Do I win? lol

4 weeks already with the palm trees adorning your lawn... where is the time slipping away on us? It'll be Christmas before you know it.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

I like the colors here. This looks like the lid to my salad spinner.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I thought since a number of people were asking, that I'd just write one response.

You might be surprised to discover that this is the working end of a flyswatter. I noticed it lying on a shiny surface and saw a slight reflection. I lifted it a little and bent it upwards, then made a few photos using my macro lens. Then I applied an effect which altered the colour, and presto - phun photography !

I hope you're also all having phun, and a wonderful weekend !

Cheater, LOL A fly swatter didn't even come to mind, not when the flies have all migrated to Florida. :-) Cool picture I must say.
