Foggy mirror

We were greeted by a rather misty morning today. Since I'm not an early morning person (unless you're referring to the time before I go to bed) I hustled to have my shower and get out with the camera before having breakfast. The fog would soon be dissipated by the sun so I applied lesson #2 from my 365 project.

I love the visual effect of fog, but it can be hard to capture on a camera at times. Nice photo.

Mystic, I love it. The perspective is also interesting since it guides the eye towards the mist intuitively!

By the way, do you know any morning people? I don't . . . :-D

Greetz,

Joseph

Haha je maakt me nog steeds aan het lachen nachtbraker...je lijkt wel een uil.;-)

But this picture sure must have made you very happy getting up early....love mirrored lakes like these....counting the days for me to be in Seattle and Vancouver area so I might spot one of these.
Hugs my friend. Dagmar

Ah yes, lesson #2 ( I had to go back & check to see what it was!) Applies to photography & LIFE! I love that foggy shot. We don't get much fog here in Santa Fe at all... it's beautiful. Years ago I lived on the Northern California coast... It it was so lovely to watch the fog come in & wrap itself around the trees & hug the mountains... then drift back out to the ocean again...
Have a nice day, Rick!

This is a great shot! I really love that it is asymmetrical, but well-balanced at the same time!

Like snow, we don't get much fog either so it's always such a wonderful surprise to be able to capture its mysterious effects! Beautiful shot!

Thank you Farmchick - I agree; I haven't experienced my fog to practice on.

Thank you Ruth.

The sacrifices I have to make, Dawn ;-) Thank you !

Thanks, Scott (I'm usually not up in time to try to catch them ;-)

I'll have to take your word for it, joey, since I don't often see them - they seem to come so early ! ;-)

Thank you, Susan !

It felt a little like that, Magda, as I stood near the water. Thank you.

I like that, Julia - thanks !

Thank you, Joseph - the scene framed itself - I just had to see it and 'click' ! Yes, I know one - my wife ! I've only heard and read about others ;-)

LOL, Dag - even an owl wouldn't get up early for this ! ;-) I think you might have a good chance of getting foggy shots in those places ! Plezierige reis !

You're right, Becky - Carpe Diem applies even more to Life ! This must be foggy season in Florida - although I'm usually not up to see it (my wife tells me about it ;-). I guess Santa Fe is too dry to have fog. I hope your week is going well !

Thank you, Leslie; Calvin - a lot of wisdom there, one of my favourites.

Welcome, Elizabeth ! Thanks for visiting, following, and leaving your kind words. Wonderful visiting your blog too - hope to hear from you again.

Thanks, Krista. Symmetry can work real well at times; this scene just presented itself, as is (kinda rare for me to get these foggy scenes - they usually happen too early for me ;-)

Obrigado, Mariiana - I do too, when I get the chance to see it.

Hi Melissa - thanks for visiting; it was very calm and peaceful there. and early ! ;-)

Thanks, Tricia - all the elements were there !

Thank you too, Soraia !

Appreciate your comment, Stewart.

I agree, Cat - I'd been waiting to get out on a foggy day; they do have some here, but they're SO early I usually don't get to see them ! ;-) Thank you.
