Easter 2011

I hope you all had a joyous Easter. I trust that the lyrics in this song only serve to bring you back to another time, and that none of them were applicable today.

And although I missed the stroke of midnight, I'll post this for Sunset Sunday.

Rick you've totally outdone yourself with the sunset shot, I LOVE it! Is it HDR? Whatever it is this one is stunning! I like the moon shot as well, I forgot to check out which lens you used but I'll go back to it.

Hope you had a nice Easter too, Rick. I had to work, and was missing my family a bit. Gorgeous phots- the one on the bottom looks like a painting!

Outstanding photos...love the specialness of the moon hanging in a blue sky. The last photo...could easily be mistaken for a painting. So beautiful.

Wow, what beautiful photo's! I love the one of the moon! Very nice. (:

The moon in a day sky is always a magical thing.
And sunsets on the water even more so.
Have a great week Rick!

Love that HDR Sunset Sunday shot. Looks more like a painting. The textures in the clouds and water are phenomenal.

Great Moon shot! The sunset is just beautiful! It reminds me of a lot of the early lithographs in which the artistry is just superb. Great work!

Thanks Soraia !

Thank you, Darlene. I used my long lens for the moon shot - I find it easier to shoot the moon during the day - it's not as intensely bright then. Yes, I don't do a lot of HDR but I like the look of it sometimes.

Jose - gracias for visiting, following, and leaving your comment. Have a wonderful week, amigo !

Hi - thanks Elizabeth (I think day moons are easier to shoot). Glad you enjoyed the song, and I trust your Easter was blessed.

Thank you, Becky. Too bad you had to work ... but the bills must be paid ;-) Have a great week !

Hi and thank you Jeanne. I think daytime moons have more detail - tough to get when it's so bright at night. And yes, I sometimes like the effects HDR provides - thank you.

Thanks very much, Saz !

Thank you, Dawn ! I hope your week is a good one too.

Thanks Betty - our Easter was wonderful. Spent a lovely afternoon with our grandson. and his parents ;-)

Thank you Scott ! I don't do HDR too often, but sometimes the effects are really special.

Thank you so much, Carolyn ! Have a great week.

Thanks Cat - hope your Easter was blessed. I do like HDR occasionally.

Muchas gracias, Julia ! Thank you for visiting.

Thank you, Randy. I used Photomatix for the HDR processing on the sunset shot.

Thanks for dropping by Tim. I appreciate your visit and comment.

Thank you very much, Michelle. And I'm honored being listed on your blog ! [I'm trying to catch up on visits]

Thank you, Joseph ! There are times I like the effects HDR processing can produce.

Thank you Stewart ! (moonshine ;-)

Thank you Fábio.

Rick, I know a book is a huge project to tackle even though I still think you should write one... how about a calendar? The HDR shot you have here would make a magnificent spring shot, maybe March or it could be an April. You have so many awesome photos to choose from that even a calendar might take a ton of time to put together but the beauty of it would be astounding!

Enjoy your day and all which it entails!

Thank you Darlene ! I've actually created 2 photo books (using Shutterfly) from our trip to Rhodes last Sept. It does take a ton of time But I enjoyed doing it (I had to do it while in Florida - with our internet 'service' here I'd never get it done :(

As for writing a book, hmmm ... let me think on it. But the calendar idea - I might pursue that later this year. Thanks for the suggestion. Hump day today - I hope your week is going well !

Thanks very much, Tricia ! Yes, I used HDR (Photomatix) on this - I liked the effects it produced. Have a great weekend !
