The day you gave us, Lord, is ended

The day you gave us, Lord, is ended,
the darkness falls at your request.
To you our morning hymns ascended;
your praise shall sanctify our rest.

John Ellerton (b. London, England, 1826; d. Torquay, Devonshire, England, 1893)

Really beautiful shots. I love how the sky lights up in color right before the sun goes down.

Amazing scenes. I have said it in my slide presentations,when God puts the world to sleep He does it in the most spectacular way. These pictures prove that to be true.

You are a good photographer! You have a good eye and just "capture things".
I had a question about your comment on my blog where you used the term "word verifications". I'm not sure I even know what that means. Perhaps it is a "Britishism" or something is appearing in Britain, on my blog, that I don't see. Could you write and let me know more?

!!!I thought I saw something about England...an optical illusion??? Still I wonder about the term...
