MIA ?

Yes, I have been away from blogland since last year. But I haven't been focused (ouch) on just relaxin'. I've also been doing lots of R&R, as in research and reviewing. And I'm happy to announce that as a result, I'm expecting a new arrival shortly. And you'll have to bear with me, 'cause I expect I'll be doing lots more learnin' as I get better acquainted with her once she's here.

Now with all the traveling and visiting over the Christmas/New Year season there wasn't much opportunity to share some of the (photographic) fun I had prior. Let me share a few shots I made at the local Coconut Festival a month ago.

And whether you're Irish or not, here's a blessing for you for the new year just begun:

May the raindrops fall lightly on your brow.
May the soft winds freshen your spirit.
May the sunshine brighten your heart.
May the burdens of the day rest lightly upon you.
And may God enfold you in the mantle of His love.

And wowzers love these shots. Did you use a tripod? Must have. Amazing I wanna learn more about your settings in the last two ones.
So we'll catch up soon about learning more skills it seems.
What new arrival are you talking about...a 'her' ... a new camera perhaps? Do fill us in.
for now happy days my friend.

Yup, you've been missed Rick, it's awesome seeing you back again and your shots are out of this world. I see you've got a new header, I have to go back and read more of it next time I'm in the neighbourhood, it's interesting! ;-)

Now I'm curious who she is and will be watching for her. I can't even take a guess, you have me stumped on this one but I'm sure it's all good... oh wait a second, you said she! Could this be a clue or a hint...possibly a boat? Just a wild guess.

Have a wonderful weekend Rick and don't keep me guessing for too long k?

I didn't know the first one was a ferris wheel till I got the end....and those fireworks....so sharp!! Amazing! And, it will take quite a few visits to read all the little signs on your header...looks like fun!

Very cool shots! It is good to relax and take a break from the routine! Holidays usually force that upon us but I have had a slow start to the new year. I would like a little more relaxin' time :)
