Memories of spring

First a howling blizzard woke us,
Then the rain came down to soak us,
And now before the eye can focus —
Crocus.                            (Lilja Rogers)

For the first time in 4 years, we weren't greeted by a blizzard upon our return from down south. And those who stayed and braved the winter tell us that there have already been enough April showers to bring out the May flowers. soon.

Those of us who have grown up in cold(er) climes fondly recall those first days of spring when we could finally shed our coats and bask in the warm rays of sunshine. Today was one of those days as I cleaned winter's detritus from the pond.

I trust that no matter where you live (at least in the northern hemisphere), you'll also revel in the newness that spring brings to God's good creation, and to our spirits.

Welcome back north, Rick!
Spring really has been having a difficult time arriving this year. Not so much rain here, but still so cold.

These photographs are wonderful. I especially love the tones in the crocus image.

Wishing you a fantastic day!

Welcome back! We got our flower beds cleaned out the last 2 evenings and there is lots of new growth already. It looks like it will be sunny and warmer for the weekend so I think we can say spring has arrived. I even heard the spring peepers very weakly peeping in the pond last night. We are so blessed to have all this beauty and renewal in spring. Your photos are beautiful. Enjoy the day! Pamela

Rick once again welcome home and thank you for bringing some nice weather with you! It's looking like we might have a beautiful weekend on this end as well!

I see spring has fully arrived at your place, there's new life arriving and it's wonderful to see. Now to go and dig out the rake and see what's under this snow mold! lol

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend. (Did you get to work on those cookies yet?)
