Walking the plank(s)

We took a long walk today on the planks making up what appeared to be an endless pier jutting out into the Peace River. Apparently there is some truth to the origins of the expression 'to walk the plank' but we didn't meet the same fate as hapless pirates' victims. In fact we had a pleasant conversation with some other folks who were also enjoying the sun and warmth.

Our dog, Sasha, was pining for the bitterly cold weather (-29C/-20F) currently being experienced up north, and had to make do with only a little shade.

But for all you folks bravely battling through the deep freeze, I included a shot from the back yard to help warm your spirit if not your toes. Spring can't be far off (the power of positive thinking ...).

Beautiful Hibiscus, but sorry,it just doesn't help much to make it feel warmer.I don't like complaining about the weather, because ultimately God is in control, but I vote for milder temperatures now. LOL

Very nice photos Rick. Poor Sasha has her winter coat on in that heat!! :) The hibiscus blossom is beautiful. Enjoy.

Sasha looks a tad warm with that lovely thick coat of hers, nice shot of her. Beautiful Hibicus. We are not freezing here though it is damp and cold. I love the planks shot, nice perspective.

Rick thank you for the beautiful flower, it's awesome to see color and beauty all wrapped up in one stunning photo. I love the clarity, might this be with the new camera?

There's Sasha, she's as gorgeous as ever. And your shot of the bridge is phenomenal, it looks like it goes on forever.

It's a beautiful day here today, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping and it's only about -10, so yup a beautiful day in my neighborhood... too bad I'm spending it indoors writing, speaking of which I'd best get back at it if I'm ever going to get this done!

Cheers.

Hmmmm longing for the nice warmth of the sun. Just as Sascha needs the cool snow. Maybe her and me need to switch places for a while.
I'll come and play with you and your camera when Sascha plays with Storm...deal?
Hugs Dagmar
I'll be up packing.
