(Day 159) Back yard beauty
'T was that golden hour of the day and it was a perfect time to scout around for those photo ops just waiting to be discovered. So, camera in hand, I went walking (and sometimes crawling - yes, my wife thinks I'm crazy!) around the back yard and soon came back with a card full of potentials to sort through. Here's what caught my eye.

You are really good, Rick! That is my first thought upon seeing this post. You've got a great talent!
I particularly like the DOF in the top shot, and the colours are really pretty!
The bottom on reminds me of asparagus, which is a good thing because I like asparagus. :o)
Golden hour...no kidding! These are so beautiful! I love the red stems in the middle photo.

Rick I have to agree that the first photo is my favorite, this one really stands out for me. I guess that it could have something to do with the fact that I love gold!

I had to 'break' a rule on that first one - I shot almost into the sun, but the late day light looked so nice. Ha ha - I can send you a piece of that 'asparagus' (it's actually the end of a pine branch - bon apetit)
@Carolyn Ford - the light is so nice then! Thank you - that's the stem of a small maple I planted last year.
@Scott - ha ha - my wife just gives me that puzzled look when she sees me crawling around :-)
@Chad - thank you Chad; that little maple also had a few reddish leaves on top but I thought they looked too much like fall already.
