Dear Rick,

It is lovely to hear from you. I've passed your blog everyday to see how your traveling, so it is comforting to read that you are feeling at peace.
We miss you here in blogland but sometimes we just need to take care of ourselves first & this is one of those times.

The photo you chose to accompany your words it lovely...very serene.
Thinking of you still

Rick welcome back, take all the time you need. Even though your kind words and amazing photographs have been missed, if you need more time take it... I'm sure most of us will still be here when you get back.

This shot speaks of peace and serenity, it's an amazing photo. Here's a quote I think was written just for you;

"Some praise the Lord for Light,
The living spark;
I thank God for the Night
The healing dark."
~Robert William

Take care Rick and may God be with and bless you and your family.

Welcome back Rick,
Heres a piece I found that speaks volumes...
I fancied that I heard them say,
"Dear Lord, Thy will be done,
For all the joy Thy child shall bring,
For the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness,
We'll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we've known,
Forever grateful stay.
But should the angels call for him
Much sooner than we planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand."
You remain in our prayers.
Al

It is so hard to capture 3 dimensions and have them discernable in a photograph. I believe in this photo you have captured 6 dimensions. This may be the parallel universe some scientists believe may exist?? Ha Ha! Very well done!

Thank you so much, Ruth. The Peace that passes all understanding, and understanding is something we don't have at this point.

Katherine - thank you for your kind words of support. Some days are peaceful, like this scene I shot only a few weeks earlier in the city where my brother lived; other days are less so.

Obrigado teca - your words of comfort, and friendship, are very much appreciated ! I'll see you soon. Beijos !

Thank you kindly, Stewart.

Lisa R - I thank you and all my fellow bloggers who took time to leave me a kind comment. Your prayers are appreciated.

Thank you for your support, Lisa. I appreciate your visit.

Darlene - thank you very much. Sometimes we may not realize the impact of an act of kindness until we're on the receiving end. Surely all of you are God's angels here on earth. I like the quote, very much.

Al - I appreciate the kindness you've shown, both here and in your support through your presence and card. Thank you for your prayers.

Aloha, Cloudia - may peace continue to reign.

Ah my dear Marty - merci for your very kind words. I like your interpretation of the photo; yes, he will remain in our hearts forever, even though his ship has sailed away. I send my warmest bisous to you on a distant shore.

Monika - thank you so much !

Thank you Cat. I strive for that peace and there are moments. I could use some more time at places and times like this one.

Obrigado, Fábio ! I'd like to return to that peaceful scene some day. soon.

@flutietootie - thank you for visiting, and your nice comment.

Soraia - thank you !

Thank you Randy - I recall this very peaceful evening well - and things did look 3-dimensional. As for the parallel universe, perhaps we'll all find out some day.

Hi Becky - thanks for your kind words. Yes, there are moments of sadness, but also times of hope. I really appreciate all the support.

Thanks Soraia - I will have to look him up.

Thank you very much, Andrew.

Marty - merci encore. I always appreciate your bisous, and I return them many times. I hope your new week goes well.

Thank you Susan. I'm not sure how people cope through times like this without that source of comfort.

Thank you Tricia - it was an awesome late night at the waterfront - I could have stayed hours longer. I appreciate your visit.
