As I've said in previous sunset posts, descriptive words are entirely superfluous when accompanied by a sunset photo. I spent a couple of hours at the waterfront a few evenings ago transfixed as the evening sunset ritual unfolded. There's something about the thunderstorm cloud formations and perhaps humidity and warmth in the tropics that have a magical effect on light. Here are two views taken about 30 minutes apart.

Rick I'm a wee bit jealous right about now... just a wee bit though but wait til the middle of winter, then I'll be a whole lot jealous! lol Your shots are breathtaking, the scenery is astounding and it's amazing how much the sunset can change in half an hour!

Wonderful images of the sunset. Amazing how the colors can change so. I get the same effects down in the Salton Sea when there in the winter. Right now here at the ranch it is just clear blue sky everyday. Looks like your are really enjoying the heat down there. Have a wonderful week.

Great Header Photo and also the two sunset pictures. All are wonderful! Having just spent a few days taking some sunset shots from the mountain perspective, I agree, words are just insufficient. It is amazing to watch the minute by minute transition when all the parts are at play.

Hi again Rick, hurricanes... ya no thank you! I'll stay right where I'm at and freeze my butt off come winter... speaking of which, I was at Home Depot today (go figure) and they have the snowblowers out, sheesh let us enjoy our last week or two of summer already without the reminders please!

I've been meaning to ask you, all the photos in your slideshow at the bottom of your blog, these are all yours now aren't they? There's sure some "WOW" ones on there, some which I haven't seen before and if I had the time in my crazy busy life I'd take time to watch it all.

Hello beautiful, how is life across the blue pond. Hope your heart is a little lighter and the sun is out more for you since the loss of your beloved brother.
I've missed out on sooooo much. trying to catch up and you had me lol with the story of the cool captain during your flight. I on the other hand can't get enought of a flight like that (even if lightning scares the poop out of me). Bumpy rides are fun, chashing the clouds going up and down. And yea without spilling coffee is the best.
Gladd to hear you are safe and sound and still are enjoying your sunsets. You're pics are getting better and better (noooo not that you had crappy ones before ;-))). just I love them over and over again.

Hi Darlene - we're back in Canada (variable speed internet again :( That's crazy that snowblowers are already out -can't get prepared too soon, right ? Hurricane season ends Nov. 30 so no winter worries.
