On my way to Ottawa today, I made a mental note of this creek which I'd passed before but hadn't had time to make some shots of. Later this afternoon I found myself standing on the mostly dry bed of this creek. A small trickle still meandered along the solid rock bed, and here and there stood small pools of water in which I saw a few minnows. It's hard to believe that in the spring time this creek becomes a fast-flowing river - I've never seen it like this before.

The images were very, very beautiful, honey! The first is my favorite.
Here in the wintertime river flows drop too much... then when the summer comes and torrential rains, the river becomes a waterfall with stupendous strength!

That's unreal how dry it's been there and to see almost no water in the creek, the temps here have been unbelievable. It's been averaging about 27 all week, it's beautiful!
Wow, still investigating eh? This is getting to be unbelievable, I hope they're not charging you for services when you're not receiving them. If they are billing you I'd suggest you send them 1/100th of what the bill is, tell them that's how slow your internet is and until it's up to par they won't receive full payment. I wonder how that would go over! lol

Thank you, Darlene - every once in a while I like to play around with HDR when the light lends itself to it. We have an old dug well on our land, formerly used by the pioneers - 15 feet deep and usually full - now only has 6" of water in it - now THAT's dry ! Enjoy your warm weather, and have a great week !

i love the light and shadow you captured in the first shot - light that is constantly moving like that always reminds me of the Spirit of God...

Thanks, Leslie - there was a sense of not being alone there on that dry creek bed. I find that HDR is a great technique to capture that light. Good imagination on that last shot - I hadn't seen that.
