As a follow up to my last post, I found some more signs in our yard of the impending and inevitable change of season. I've noticed that along our roads the colours are starting to become more vivid in the bushes and trees. I feel a photo shoot coming up soon to capture the blaze of glory with which God paints his creation before He lets it go quietly to sleep beneath a blanket of white.
I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune in.

Well I guess it is fair play, I get spring flowers earlier than you but you get the fall show before me. Can hardly wait every year until the fall coolness and colors begin! Great header shot and pictures.
Prachtige foto's Rick. Het wordt gewoon weer herfst.
This is true beauty and very fall like. We have had rain all day today.Yeah!
Such beauty in all of nature and especially those small things when we take the time to look.
Beautiful header, Rick -- and I love the asters. So pretty.
Thank you for your comment.
Those fotos are amazing.
Kiss
Thank you, Soraia !
Merci Marty ! Fall is truly a spectacular time of year in all its bright raiment (I made the header photo last year in Oct.). I enjoyed an extended stay at your blog this evening since my internet was working fairly well - and left you many bisous that were trickling over slowly before ;-)
Thank you kindly, Stewart !
Mahalo, Cloudia. Aloha (and enjoy those new digs).
I agree Randy - fair trade. I can dream of spring when you share the shots, and vice versa. And thank you.
Dank je wel, Riet, Ja, prachtig tijd van 't jaar - de kleuren worden hier schitterend.
these are beautiful photos rick...
and your words so comforting.
thank you.

Thank you, Ruth. We've had very little rain here this summer - not sure what the fall will hold.
Absolutely Farmchick ! Thanks for stopping by for a look.
Thanks Nancy (I borrowed that header from shots I made last fall - we're not quite at that point yet this year, but close).
Obrigado, BlueShell ! I appreciate your visits and kind words. Beijos !
Hi Chasity - SO nice to hear from you, and thank you. I've missed visiting you (been very difficult with all the internet issues I'm having). I look forward to 'seeing' you real soon.
Rick your photos are amazing as usual, the third one with the leaf in the water is the one which grabs my attention the most, even though they're all beautiful photos. You have amazing perspective and your words choices are like music to the soul...about that book? ;-)
Have a wonderful day and all the best to you with the crazy internet providers.
I'm actually starting to look forward to fall. Love these shots, as well as your header!
Hi Rick, I haven't visited your blog in quite some time... beautiful captures & I agree, I feel a photo shoot coming w/ Autumn color starting to peek thru. =)
Thank you so much for the comment!
Nicely captured Rick! I can see that the plants there really are starting to show the signs of summer coming to an end.. The plants around here are slowly working towards this!
These are wonderful Rick. I especially like the second one.
Here too, there is no doubt that we are headed into autumn. Autumn in NY can be strange. Some are quite long and beautiful, while others are very short and cold. I am hoping for the former!! :-)
You do this so well, Rick. I hope your internet problems are soon resolved.
Beautiful dofs. Well taked
Those are lovely fall images! I especially like the one of the leaf in the rushing water.
Thanks for your kind words, Darlene. I'm still pondering putting together a 'best of' (in my mind anyway) collection of blog photos. Maybe I'll look into what blogger offers. As for the internet connection, it's back to dreadful right now - am waiting on next steps from the ISP.
Thank you, Elizabeth; I am too - so many opportunities out there.
Hi Tricia - thanks for dropping by and your nice comment. I've been trying to get some visits in when my connection's working ... hopefully 'see' you soon.
You're very welcome, Soraia.
Hi Saz, and thank you. Yes, it's been quite a hot and dry summer and the plants are showing it. Have a wonderful rest-of-the-week.
Thank you, Lisa. I'm just across the border from upper NY state, so we likely have similar autumns - I'm hoping right alongside you. ;-)
Thank you, Susan .. and I hope so too (amazing how quickly the internet went from being a curiosity to a necessity !).
Obrigado, Fábio !
Thanks, Karin - that one came from one of the birches around our ponds and found its way into the little stream between the ponds.
First time here but definitely not the last!
Rick, your photos are amazing, and although I'm not an expert, my husband is. I'm sure you'd like to have a look at his Blog - here :

But don't forget to pay me a visit ^_^ ...
I love photography and I need to keep on practising my English.
I think I have something with Canadians.
My last English teacher was Fred Grech from Toronto and one of my best friends, presently living also in Toronto, Carol Kitney, has been my student of Portuguese. Can you believe this?
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Huge Hug

So timely on this Autumnal eve, Rick. Heading north today to the cottage/lake to view the equinox, setting directly in front. Happy autumn :)
i love those purple flowers - and the Carver quote. so true...
Nice capture of light on the purple aster. I just love the lighting of fall
I just came in from a fall/photo walk. It's amazing the colors we find in this season. You captured them well. I like the leaf in water.
Fantastic picture my friend, I love the colours of the leaves in autumn, are super!
Happy week!
Oi Ná ! So nice to have you come by for a visit, and leave a nice comment. I look forward to a return visit (your English is quite good !). I used to live near Toronto but am now about 350 km from there. I have been to see your blog - very nice, and interesting. Beijos, and a hug !
Thanks, Joey - I hope your trip was very good - I will be over soon to see what you came back with. Have a superb week.
Thank you, Leslie - they're wild asters and they grow in profusion here in the fall.
Thank you for visiting and commenting, Patrick ! Hope to 'see' you again soon.
Thanks, Dawn - I'm in full agreement re: colours of fall - it's a spectacular time.
Grazie, Minusca ! I need to come by for a visit to see you again. Gli abbracci ed un bacio ! Ciao !
This is exactly what I love about Fall.
Thanks Lori !
