October's Party

"October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came -
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band."

     [George Cooper, October's Party]

I trust you're not tired of autumn quite yet. Why not take a moment out of your day (since you're here anyway) and listen to one of my favourite singers (click on the link below the photos). Then walk along these country roads with me and marvel at the Creator's handiwork.

You have once again captured the beauty in a spectacular way. No colourful leaves left on the trees here,so I really enjoyed these.

Nice pictures, Rick, I especially like the one with the fence. And a funny poem, bringing distraction. I always feel melancholy watching those colourful leaves that autumn gathers, the song matches that feeling well.

You can only feel blessed surrounded by such beauty. Nature dazzles me everyday, but in the fall I feel truly spoiled. The poem is wonderful and I love your second photo with the winding wood fence, as well as the little girl collecting the leaves that catch her eye :)

These are some really beautiful fall images. It's a good thing that young lady had a purple jacket and not orange or yellow or we might have lost her in there. Happy October to you.

Wow, looking at your photos with the soft music in the background is exactly what I needed right about now, thanks Rick!

I absolutely LOVE your photos, have I told you lately how impressed I am with your photography? I don't think I have, you are one of my all time favorite photographers, I find peace, serenity and awe whenever I come and visit your blog... right and joy as well when you've posted new photos! :-) A God given talent, one you've mastered. I can feel your passion, appreciation and respect for life through your work, and this is totally commendable. Well done Rick!

Have a wonderful week!

Wat een mooie herfstfoto's. Hier begint de herfst steeds later voor de natuur omdat de septembermaand de laatste jaren zo warm is. Het schuift gewoon op tot november.

I could never get tired of autumn. As a matter of fact, I would be perfectly happy to keep autumn and skip right over winter into spring! :-)

These photographs are just beautiful, Rick. It looks like you are having a beautiful autumn.

Thank you for the song. I have not heard of the singer, but what a lovely song.

Have a great day!

Rick, it's so good to discover your wonderful site, with these beautiful images giving glory to God. I love them all, but that one with the park bench caught my breath away, as well as the final road through the woods. Great song, too. Thanks!
