Committed to memory

[“As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last He will take His stand on the earth.”  Job 19:25.  I trust you have experienced and will continue to experience the joy of Easter.]

The sounds of laughter have receded into the family annals and all is quiet around here again. Our last visitors returned home this past week to face the beginnings of spring (which seem more like the final gasps of a winter that won't let go easily). We're left to wonder where the time went.

Many memories were captured and embedded in silicon, but I think they were surpassed by those embedded in our own memories. The 5D performed remarkably well despite the operator's lack of mastery of its many features.

And amidst the busyness of vacation hosting and capturing memories, there was even time to grab a frame or two of other subjects:

But you'll have to agree with me that my primary focus over the past couple of weeks would have been directed towards Hailey and Lilly (oh, and assorted other family members, of course):

I plan to visit many of you this week, and look forward to 'meeting' my new followers.

Welcome back Rick! What cuties Hailey and Lilly are in their spring dresses. I'm sure you are missing all your company but 'normal' probably sounds nice too. Have a great week! Oh, we're getting wet snow and rain here after a beautiful, sunny and +10 for 3 days on the weekend. Yes, we're still prolonging winter here. :( But the robins have returned so I hear.

Hoi Rick,

ik vind de eerste foto prachtig met deze kleuren. De scherpte/diepte komt hier echt prachtig uit.

ik lees dat je je familie ook op de foto zet, maar ik neem aan dat je nichtjes zijn. Of zijn het je eigen kinderen?

groetjes, Helma

Well if you have a new camera this is awesome the photos it can produce. Amazing. I didn't get my new camera this winter. Too many other expenses came up making it not in the budget just now. I can't believe I am back to using my 3 megapixel camera as my other one got a fussy in the lens while I was trying to get the lens unstuck. Sure miss the extra bit of zoom the other gave me. But that older one still give me great photos. Didn't take so many this winter though. Was a lot of work and no play down in the desert. Back here at the ranch we have had such a mix of weather . It is snowing like crazy this morning. Over 2 inches so far. Need to get out and get some photos of my daffadils covered in snow.

Oh my goodness, now how did I miss this post? Hailey and Lilly are such beautiful young ladies, totally adorable! You've done an amazing job with this photo Rick, I can feel the love you have for your granddaughters through this photo!

Right, you have the 5D now, I was wondering if the clarity of your photos was improved upon or if it'd been that long since I visited your blog that I may have been imagining this... nope, I'm all right, you just have a new toy! The bokeh is amazing in the first photo, I'm 300% impressed and now I want a new camera too! lol Just kidding, I have to much to learn before I can take another step up.

Cheers.
