Alberta Bound - II

Continuing our journey past the foothills along the meandering highway 1A we eventually come to the picturesque town of Canmore. There's really not much point trying to use mere words to describe what your eyes are better designed to do.

the 'Three Sisters' from near our B & B in Canmore
'Rock of Ages, cleft for me ..."
Chinaman's Peak (renamed to Ha Ling Peak) - I've climbed the back side
one more look at the Three Sisters

Brings Psalm 121 to mind ...

Oh my goodness Rick, these photos are amazing, such spectacular scenery. It must be really something to experience these views in person. Thanks for sharing these with us. One day I hope to visit places like this.

Those three peaks called Three Sisters Mountain was the view I used to look at every morning from my kitchen window. Still as beautiful, great to see them again especially with the Bow River shot.

Your last photo really gives a sense of scale, such beauty! The mountains look as if they would be covered in snow during winter.

Psalm 121 is the perfect one to go with these pictures. What more can one do than to lift our hearts in praise to the Creator of this beauty.

Rick you've captured the beauty of Canmore ... hmmm now to say this besides in a WOW way? You've done justice to the stunning scenery; Canmore is one of the most beautiful places to visit, even if only for a weekend.

My son, his wife and my beautiful Elyssa are spending time in Canmore this weekend... I'm jealous! lol

I hope you enjoy the rest of your long weekend! Cheers.

Mooi Rick, vind het altijd jammer dat wij geen bergen hebben, ik houd er veel van om ze te zien in het buitenland.

I'm pretty sure we drove through Canmore on our way back home from Red Deer, without a map though I can't quite be sure, there were so many beautiful mountain towns!

Hi Cheri - not sure if you'll be back here, but I can't find your blog (I think you need to make your profile public).
