Guest photographer

As some of you may already know, I'm not a (voluntary) morning person. I think that my better work is done once the day is well under way. My wife awakened me a few days ago with a bad news/good news story. The bad news was that I had missed a most glorious sunrise (which I do, of course, on most occasions). I mentioned to her that if it was glorious enough to wake me up early, then I could certainly make the supreme sacrifice and get some shots. That's where the good news came in - she had obviously heard me mention 'ABC' in the past - and she had grabbed my camera and captured the sunrise.

It was just left to me to put a collage together. So, from today's guest photographer, I present a glorious sunrise.

Internet update: first I'd like to again thank everyone for their visits and comments - you daily sustain me with them, and I read your comments with much pleasure ! As our intermittently fair/extremely poor internet connection permits, I've been making some visits to see your work. When it's very poor (e.g. tonight), it's almost impossible to load blogs, and to post on my own. The expectation is that our current connection will be replaced in 5-6 months (oh that I may be granted patience !). The good news is that we'll be down south next week where we have an excellent connection and I'll be able to resume visits.

Excellent photos. I like the theme of sunrise and sunsets. They have most colors in the sky. There's something mystical. / Peter

Amazing shots, if I had a sunrise like this where I live, I'd be glad to wake up very early!
I think you could invite her to post her photos on a weekly basis.
Have a good weekend! ;-)

Thank you very much, Peter. I agree - sunsets are my favourite because I'm up then ;-) and they tend to last a little longer, but both are beautiful times of day. Have a wonderful weekend - I will be over for a visit early next week.

Hi Lisa - thank you. I empathize with you re: slow internet; very frustrating, and a price we pay to live in a rural area.

Ha ha - thanks, Tricia (I passed your comment on to my wife - she smiled ;-) By next Mon/Tues I should be down south and have fast(er) internet - I'll be over then.

LOL Carolyn - I'm just glad my wife had the presence of mind ! ;-)

Mrs Rick says Mahalo ! I'll be over early next week to see your wonderful shots and commentary Cloudia. Till then - aloha !

If that's what they say in France then I'm condemned to live in the past Marty ! I've passed on your compliments to my wife - and she says merci. I hope you do take your voiture out of la ville one of these jours - I'd love to see one of your sunrises ! I will come over to 'see' you early next week when I can see your wonderful blog in one soir ! Till then - many warm bisous for a wonderful weekend !

It sure is, Stewart ! ;-) And thanks for the honourable mention !

Thank you, Elizabeth ! I think I'll let her do that more often ;-)

Thanks, Hilda !

Thank you, Ruth and I thank my wife that I didn't miss it entirely !

I have to give my wife all the credit, Fábio; thank you.

Thank you so much, Lúcia ! I'll let my wife know you said that ;-) I may need to try getting up earlier too - looks like there are real photo ops ! Have a wonderful weekend too.

Rick don't you need a new camera? You can get a new one and give your wife this one, she takes amazing photos! But shhhh, don't tell her I gave you that idea! lol

That's awesome you're off to Florida again, land of working internet and warm weather...I'm almost jealous! And finally they're giving you a date when your net is supposed to be up and running, it's about time I'd say. This has been going back and forth for how long now? I sure hope they haven't been charging you for a service you're not receiving.

Well enough from me for one night, I'm trying to play catch up, it's been another stressed week and another one is coming up. Deadlines, midterms, and just and way to much work!

Please tell your wife that her photos are extremely pleasing to look at, she captured the sunrise magnificently!

Take care and wishing you a wonderful weekend!
