Hi Rick, you'd very nice sentimental post cards collection. Those were the days with sweet memories. We are only young once, life is short. Treasure and appreciate the good times. Cheers
Have a nice day.

P/S I'll try to post my homemade crepe cake as soon as possible. You're free to "steal" if you like my recipes. Stay tune!

I love this song, I haven't heard it in forever though. Thanks for the memories, no worries the memories attached to this song are all good. :-)

I love your look into the past, are these really old photos or did you make them look like old photos? I have a hard time sometimes telling what you're up to on that end... like it's my business! lol

Have an awesome week Rick. Oh, and the countdown is happening on this end! Two more days of classes, Woohooo! (I want to type to the music now, this could end up being a long comment! lmao) K I'll stop here, it's bed time. Nite.

Love this series...I wish my memories included a gorgeous beach! Actually, I'm pretty happy with the midwest water holes. :)

soooo, i see the date on those photos - did you make them look like old postcards? very cool.

So true, so true. Great PP on these to give them the old look except the cracks and lines are the exact same on every one which kind of gives it away, otherwise I might have thought they really were old.

love that you've made them look like old postcards!

Mahalo Cloudia. Aloha !

Thanks so much, Amelia. And yes, your advice is good, about the good times. And I am 'stealing' some recipes - will be over shortly looking for the crepe cake ;-)

Thank you, Lúcia !

Ha ha, Darlene - yes, those were the days, weren't they ! That song always brings back memories - who'd have thought, 40 years ago ! I've been playing around some with photos - thought I'd give this antique filter I found a try (Scott found me out though ;-) Well, your countdown is over by now, so enjoy your well-deserved weekend !

Rick said...

Hi Magda - I'm glad you enjoyed a trip back to the past. Have a wonderful weekend !

Thank you, Ruth. I know you also have many lovely memories to sustain you.

Thank you, Elizabeth. Nostalgia stirs up many good memories, beaches or not.

Thanks Leslie, and yes, I confess to fooling around with some filters. I liked the effect - glad you did too.

Rick said...

Thanks Scott. Yes, I was just experimenting with an antique effect I found in some s/w. I was going to try some different effects but ran out of time. Next time ...

Thank you, Betty. I hope your weekend is a very good one !

Ha ha - thanks, Stewart. I never heard much more from Mary after that hit.

Thank you, Saz ! One of my daughters is jealous that I grew up in the age of great music - she loves the songs of those days too. Have a super weekend !

Ha ha Marty - you toujours put un sourire on my face with your comments
bilingue ;-) Merci beaucoup for your kind mots et your bisous. I send tou some bisous Hollandais !

Hi Cloudia - always my pleasure to visit you - very inspiring. I smiled when I saw your comment since I was just working on a new post ;-) Have a wonderful weekend. Aloha !

Yes teca - where does the time fly ?? I hope you have a wonderful week my friend - I send you many beijos !!

Yes, it can be a very pleasurable way to occupy some time - certainly not something we did in our youth when there was nothing to be nostalgic about ! Thanks, Katherine !

Beautiful Rick. Just Beautiful

Also when a song like comes to mind in a small way it reminds me not to take one thing for granted. Time goes on and fast.

Thank you for that.

Rick said...

Thank you, Lisa. You're right - we shouldn't waste time but make the most of it. Thank you for stopping by !

darlin said...

Hi, guess who! :-) I didn't even know you could get an antique filter, that's pretty darn cool! Why not check out an antique market, or maybe even a museum, and see how this filter works photographing old things, I'm curious now. As for the weekend, I'm wiped, I need a break from weekends now! lol

Rick said...

Hi Darlene - I'm catching up on comments (again) now that we're back home (& my internet sucks !). The 'filter' I used was in software, not on the camera - although that would be a cool thing to have. In spring we're supposed to get (fairly) high speed satellite to replace the non-functional internet connection we now have. Can't wait. Hope you're having a great week !
