Sailor's Delight

This age-old saying proved true again recently as storm clouds were swept away to the east, illuminated by the setting sun. But you don't have to be a sailor to enjoy and appreciate a sunset.

Ok, hands up all of you who've dreamt about leaving the 9-5 routine, life in the suburbs, the daily commute, the rat race ... behind. C'mon, sure you have - probably the last time you were in a warm place in the winter time staring at yachts in a marina ! Sell the house, sell the car, keep the kids and dog and just sail away.

(Day 349) Seconds

My 365 photo quest today was to find a canal that was lit up with coloured lights. I left just before dusk along a route where I knew I'd have a clear view of some canals from the road. Well, to keep a long story short I didn't find what I was looking for, so I settled for this.

And wouldn't you know it - I found what I was looking for on the way back but there was nowhere to stop. Maybe I'll try for that another day. But I was pretty happy with what I did find today.
