(Day 132) Hold me back!

I'm quite sure that all of you out there doing a project 365 have run into those times of brain constipation. You know, the day's getting late, you haven't got your shot yet, the pressure's building, you're looking around at something that you think you might use as a subject, and nothing seems to be co-operating with you.

Well, today was not one of those days. In fact, I had the opposite problem. I drove to a favourite place just a few minutes from home. I'd been here in the fall but hadn't yet seen it in the spring. I felt like I had died and gone to photographers' heaven. So bear with me as I post beyond the project 365 one-shot 'limit' (this is getting to be a habit).

You did indeed run into a photographer's heaven. I can't comment on every single image, but I love them all. I have a favorite though and that's the first picture.. Love the greenness of the trees and how the road leads one's eyes to the center of the photos.

Goed gedaan!

@M. Hassan - it is such a beautiful place. I've lived here 7 years and I only discovered it last fall. Thanks for your positive feedback M. Dank u wel!

@Katherine - glad I was able to help start your day. There was beautiful dappled sunlight streaming through the trees which had a nice effect on the photos. Thanks for having a look so early in the morning :)

@POD - thank you - it was my pleasure!

@S. Etole - that's exactly how it felt Susan. Thank you.

Indeed it is and you took wonderful advantage. I especially liked the burgundy trillium and the fungi on the side of the tree, but all were great.

Rick said...

@Scott - you must have felt that way in Yellowstone.

Rick these are all great photos, but my favorite is the tree lined lane. I've always wanted to get a shot like that.

You could always use an archived photo like me. No one ever knows :)

Rick, I love picture number one! You did a wonderful job capturing the lane. It should be in a magazine.
But I've got to say, I do wish the puddle(?) wasn't in the frame. Although, it doesn't keep me from looking at the entire picture ;)

I've always wanted a shot like that too.

@Chad - thanks Chad - and such a lovely place is almost around the corner (2 mi.) from me!

Rick said...

@Photog Ave - my archive is starting to overflow, but I feel compelled to get at least one usable shot each day. Thanks for the compliment Avery - I did take a few others, also without the puddle :) but I liked this one best.

Rick said...

@Riet - ja, deze plek is zo mooi - ik moest meer dan één foto laten zien. Dank u wel Riet.

Rick said...

@darlin - well, I did build a little cabin in the woods behind our house a few years back :) Thanks for your comments.

What Karen Sees said...

Don't you sometimes feel sorry for people who rush about their business and never take time to see the beauties of nature where ever they might be. We photographers are so lucky to see and appreciate all that God has given us!

I hate to inform you that you've not only reached the limit of "quality shots in a day", you've busted right through the top. There will be consequences.

Namely; extra enjoyment for you AND your readers. ;o)

Rick, these are fantastic! The top 6 are my faves. hehe

Rick said...

@Jeanne Klaver - thank you Jeanne - it was my pleasure!

Rick said...

@Karen - absolutely agree. I feel more fortunate every day that I'm able to 'see' better all that has been provided for us!

@Krista - LOL!! I had such a blast out there - could've stayed all day! Thank you for your kind, uplifting words.
