Due to travel circumstances I was unable to post yesterday, however, I was able to capture a few friends we met. Since I had to travel light, I didn't have my trusty telephoto lens with me, so I had to use guile and stealth to sneak as close as possible to get a shot - some with better results than others.
Note: thank you for all your comments on my recent posts. I hope to be able to reply to them and to visit my favourite blogs over the next few days to see what everyone has been up to.

Hey Rick...looks like your having a great holiday! Love these photo you stealthy snapper you! Wow that's pretty close! I love all you photos but that one in the middle is soooo cool!
Hey - ho Rick, looks like you did real well without your trusty lens.
Brill captures.
One strange bird. I know it eats fish, but what's it called?
Great capture by the way!
Looks like you do "stealthy" well. Hope your vacation is going well.
Nice work on those. Isn't it fortunate that at least two of those are not too afraid of visitors. Hope you're having a good time.
@Katherine - thanks Katherine; how I wish I had my telephoto! I think the middle one is an egret (?) and I couldn't sneak any further through the 'jungle' to get closer before he took off.
@imac - thanks mac; I had to rely on the 'foot' zoom :)
@M. Hassan - the top one is a pelican, which loves fish; I think the middle one is an egret. Thanks M.
@S. Etole - thank you Susan; I 'practiced' a lot before I got these esp. with the pelican - it kept flying 10' further on as soon as I got close; finally stayed when I didn't make eye contact. The crow was waiting to get the remainder of my wife's apple - which he fished out of the garbage can.
@Scott - yes I was happy they were braver. Thanks - had a wonderful time!
Holy Toledo! You did really well Rick! I LOVE pelicans and egrets (I think? My bird ident is terrible sorry) and crows. You got the trifecta!
@Krista - LOL, thanks. Yep - that's an egret (nope, I didn't know for sure either till I googled it).
OHHHH! I love these creatures. Oh wow! Thank you for making my evening superb.
@Jeanne Klaver - you're welcome Jeanne - and thanks for stopping by for a look!
