Coming back from vacation usually means there's lots of work to do around the house. The lawn needed to be cut, and the weeds certainly weren't on vacation either. There was no time to pursue photos, at least not until after dinner. As we were lying on the lounge chairs and enjoying the warmth of the late day sun, I decided that, in keeping with the spirit of relaxation, my shots would have to be taken from where I was parked. Surprisingly there were lots of subjects at hand. I limited myself to posting just these.

Although the weather forecast included the potential for thunderstorms, these skirted our area to the north and did nothing more than show up to have their photo made.

I love the first photo Rick, it's so country!
I especially like the top photo, too. It's so real and simple yet so photogenic. The light is beautiful and the color soft. Very nice, Rick.

And what a grand show they are Rick.
@darlin - thank you; yep - it's not the real thing though - still looking for one of those.
@Carolyn Ford - thank you Carolyn. I've often wondered if early morning light is as nice (I'm just not up to see it for myself ;-)
@chasity - thank you kindly Chas! I hope your Sunday was blessed too!
@Ruth's Photo Blog - thank you Ruth. Yes, one only has to look around - there's usually so much to 'see'!
@Scott - thanks Scott. After a week 'on the road', and a day of doing chores around the house, relaxing was top of the agenda - and so nice to extend that to making some photos.
@CarreraCaballo - warm and cozy describes how I felt too, on the lounge chair ;-) Thanks Joseph!
@marty - thank you marty! Have a great week.
@Chad - glad to see you're back Chad and your computer up and running. Thank you - we are blessed with the place where we live, and lots of photo ops to boot.
@Photog Ave - thanks Avery! I really liked that one too - especially what the sunlight did for the colours and shadow. Hope your weekend was awesome!
@imac - thanks mac! I guess my decision 'forced' me to look, but it wasn't all that difficult ;-)
uhhhh these colours are beautiful. Love the pomp (do you guys use this word too?).
Dag.
@Barefoot from Heaven - thanks Dag! We only use 'pomp' when there's a ceremony, as in 'pomp and circumstance'. ;-) But I know what a 'pomp' is :)
There is so much to capture isn't there?? I love all the photos Rick...the first one is lovely but I do love big white pillowy clouds. Just lovely!
@Katherine - yes, without moving from my lounge chair, I was able to capture these, but could have got a lot more. And since we'd had thunderstorms in the area (not at our place though) we had all these great skies !
