Back to the future

As I was combing through the archives I came upon a series of shots I made in spring last year (although I only needed one shot per day for the 365 project last year, I quite often found myself carried away and I'd make 50 or 100 shots in a day - no, not all were keepers). If all goes as planned (which is largely out of our hands), I hope to see scenes like this soon after we make our way back north.

What are these? They remind me of lupine, though I'm sure they're not. Ready for spring are ya?

Rick this is an awesome macro, when I first looked at it I thought lilac buds but now I'm wondering if this is a blue bell flower? I hear ya about capturing sometimes up to 100 photos in a day, not all are good by no means on this end neither but I find that if I take tons of photos one of them has to be "the one".

Have a great day!

Well I SURE HOPE you're seeing things like this when you return. I can let you know if any are appearing. If the answer is no...I suggest staying in warm weather. This cold and snow is getting ridiculous;)

That is a beautiful shot. I love that color- one of my absolute favorites!

Buona sera, Cinthia; thank you !

Thank you, Katherine ! One of my favourite colours.

Thanks for dropping by, Avery !

Merci Marty; je pense que nous won't get any neige here in Florida mais we will back in Canada ! This flower announced le printemps last year. More warm bisous for you to hasten your spring ;-)

Thank you Julia !

Thanks Magda - spring 2010 !

Thank you Karin - one of my favourite colours (but I don't know what it's called - purple, mauve ??)

Thanks Soraia (me too ;-)

Va multumesc foarte mult, Gabriela (I hope that translated ok).

Thank you, Ruth - glad this provided a little beauty, and hopefully soon those early spring flowers will make an appearance in Manitoba !

Hi Becky - I only knew these by their Dutch name (blauwe druifjes) but then found the English name - grape hyacinths. They're an early spring bulb and I planted some in my lawn several years ago - by the time they're finished blooming the grass is ready to be mowed, along with these. And yes, ready for spring - up north ;-)

Thank you, Darlene (these are grape hyacinths). Fortunately I've been able to find keepers in my archives - I usually toss the ones I don't like right after I load them on my PC. Hope your week is going well.

Ha ha, you're right, Monika - spring fever, I think !

Thank you, Stewart - nice to see you back; I'll need to come over for a visit.

Thanks Carolyn; my macro lens - wide open - I love what it can do.

Thank you Leovi; I expect many more will start showing us spring beauty. Appreciate your visits.

Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment, Eden !

Ha ha, Dawn - you can be my early warning system to make sure I don't go back too soon ! ;-) Thank you !

Thanks Farmchick. Btw - this one was SOOC - my macro lens wide open does wonders !
