Pool-side guest

I spotted this 'visitor' inside the screened-in pool area today. From a distance it looked a bit like an anole, but as you can clearly see, that wasn't the case. I'm not sure if these creatures can jump but I was glad I had a camera between him and me.

Sorry Rick.. I definitely won't be telling you how beautiful this picture is...(shudder up my spine) ... I don't like spiders, especially big, hairy brown ones!

Thanks for your visit and comments, Social Frog ! ;-)

Thanks Darlene ! Loved that song too. And you might like this one.

LOL Katherine ! Don't blame you ;-)

Thank you Magda - that was a 'super' spider ! ;-)

Ha ha - I was careful Marty not to let him jump on me (I think all spiders are venomous - ouch, ouch). Some non-venomous bisous pour toi !

Anything (almost) for the shot, Ruth ! Thank you.

Thanks Joseph (nerves of steel !) ;-)

Aw c'mon Leslie - the photo won't bite ! ;-)

Thank you Farmchick - they are kinda tough to love, aren't they (and to think that some people keep them as PETS !)

Rick where do you find the time to find songs like that? LOL

A beautiful chandelier, great shot and risk.

You can never take too many pictures said...

Wow! Great specimen...reminds me of our Dock Spiders we get around here...they do not make me squirm, I loved collecting as many specimens as I could as a child....and to this day still get excitied when I see them through my lens... Great Capture!!!!!

This one is creepy :p
But I like it :D

I just 'happen' upon them, Darlene ;-)

Thank you Leovi (I assume something went awry with the translation).

Thanks, Susan. I added the caution for the squeamish out there - I thought it quite interesting and immediately got my camera (but I still wouldn't want it ON me !).

Ha ha. Thanks, Soraia !

Gross! Everyone has their thing that that creeps them out... mine are spiders. They just give me the creeps. ( Well, except for Daddy Longlegs... I do like them, and the occasional tarantula... although they kinda freak me out, too.)

Ok, thanks to this picture, Lisa and I just canceled our trip to Florida!

Rick said...

LOL Avery !! Thanks !

Tarantulas would freak me out too, Becky - but I think I'd get its photo if I found one !

Julia - that's WHY we keep this one as a pool-side guest ;-)
