Walk with me by the shimmering sea
And you will find, as the waves gently
Caress the shore, that you more and more
Yearn for simpler times and the days of yore.
Wow, Wow and Wow! This is so beautiful, I think that I'm going to hop the next train to Florida! After you see my post today you'll totally understand!
I love the way the sun glistens off of the water and the way the water meets the sky. I'd love to be on that sailboat with my thoughts on nothing but the cool breeze brushing against the sails and the red of the ball catches my attention if only for a fleeting moment while my thoughts drift away to a moment in time, a time which feels like an eternity ago, a time without all of this darn homework! :-)
I knew you had it in you, you're a poet Rick! Nice piece of prose right there... the sea speaks a language all it's own and it is so beautiful, just like this picture!
This photo should be in the dictionary as an example for the word "shimmering". You really caught that here. Love the red buoy to give it a touch of color.
Dear friend, I miss here... With a few more tasks, I have not had much time to visit friends and not have done a lot of posts... But I don1t forget you and friends. I love that your post. I always thought that plus good pictures you take, you write like a sweet poet. ;) A huge beijo, honey! Have a nice weekend.
Ha ha thanks, Darlene - I saw your cold post; tough for you to imagine sitting on a beach under an umbrella to avoid sunburn ! Good luck with the homework.
Thanks, Katherine - I think the sea gave me a bit of inspiration when I looked awhile at the photo.
Thank you Magda (I have to say that the Aegean was among the most beautiful I've ever seen - incredibly clear !).
Thank you Joseph (I might have dreamed a little too while sitting on that beach ;-)
Thank you Scott ! That was definitely the word I had in mind when I looked out on the sea (gulf).
Yes it was, Ruth !
Thank you Soraia (I moved for the winter to where it's always summer !)
Teca - thank you so much (I've been learning from the best !). I've been busy with company here and haven't been able to visit much - am doing so now again. Thank you for taking the time to visit, and many beijos for your new week !
