I went for a very late evening stroll along the waterfront while we were visiting our daughters this weekend - I had intended to come here on other occasions to capture some night scenes. All was calm and quiet, and only a few other people walked by. I could have stayed longer - the lights and scenes were mesmerizing, but it was getting rather early. I felt comfortable with the shots I'd been able to make, and left something for another night.

Of course I had to download them when I got back, despite the hour. But I didn't get the chance to go through them carefully until this evening. Imagine my surprise when I came across this one and discovered a fellow Pink Floyd fan !

Haven't been "comfortably numb" in many years! LOL! Come to think of it, there hasn't been a group like Pink Floyd in many years! Kinda made me want to look in the boat to see if someone was in there. Ha Ha! Great reflections in the water. You seem to have a gift of capturing reflections better than most.

What a stunning photo Rick! I absolutely love it. Looks so relaxing. (:

I can't go on evening strolls. I'm too paranoid that something will happen if I do. I hate being out on my own at night.

Also, Pink Floyd is awesome. (:

"A distant ship's smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in wave
lips move
But I can't hear what you're saying..."

Love it! I'm playing the song and it enhances your magnificent photo. What memories, wow! You are blessed to be in :the right place at just the right time to get the shot", and you do it so well!

I'm sure this goes without saying... but I hope you had a magnificent time with your daughters and your precious grandchildren.

So tell me, did you still have to be up at 8am? ;-)

Have a magnificent week... I know I'm going to! :-)

LOL I must be tired, I just reread what I typed in the first quote and you'd think that I was comfortably numb... really I'm not!

Thank you, Andrew; it's the waterfront in Barrie.

Thanks Stewart !

Merci beaucoup, Marty ! I wish you many happy bisous to keep you comfortably numb ;-)

Danke, Joseph !

Thanks Farmchick.

It grabbed my attention Elizabeth - thanks.

Best time to be out there, Monika - and many beautiful opportunities !

Ha ha - first one to catch on to my little riddle, Randy ! Glad to see you share my enthusiasm for Pink Floyd. Thanks for your kind words.

Thanks so much teca (all these PF fans coming out of the woodwork - very nice !). I send you many beijos to make you comfortable (but not numb ;-)

It's a sad world, Saz, where you have to feel uncomfortable going out at night, but I fully understand. Thanks for your nice comment. (PF rocks !)

Thank you, Lisa !

LOL Darlene - I was going to put in a youtube link but I figured real PF fans would find it anyhow. One of my favourites (esp. the guitar solos !). Thanks for your kind words - I was just loving it out there but had a deadline (which I broke - oops). I got to 'sleep in' till 08:30 - and yes, the weekend was wonderful with my granddaughters. Thanks. btw - did the song make you comfortably numb ? ;-)

Rick between the photo and the song I was mesmerized, yes, I was comfortably numb! lol Have a fantastic week, it's my turn to go away for a while and this one could be extremely interesting.

Ha ha Darlene - sometimes it's just nice to be comfortably numb ! Enjoy your time away. I'm (again) trying to visit blogs - see you soon.
