Well, I couldn't let Scott have all the phun today. I haven't participated in too many Phun Phridays, mainly because I keep forgetting - I had an image ready 2 weeks ago and I plum forgot. But I'll save it for the next time I remember.
I went to my son's house today to make some photos of the renovations - remember those ? (I promise to post some as soon as he's seen them.) They moved back to their home last weekend - like all renovations this one took twice as long and cost twice as much as initially planned/hoped for. While I was making some photos there I thought about some ideas I'd read about that might be used for a phun shot. This was my take when I got home:

Interesting how the yellow dissolves in red and emerges in a nice orange tone ;-)
Greetz,

@CarreraCaballo - it's all an illusion Joseph ! ;-)
@Photog Ave - I had fun with it, but had to hurry because my wife was coming home and she would really wonder what in the world I was doing with HER cooking oil ;-)
Wow, how creative of you Rick! You're painting with your camera and that's a genius idea :-)
A masterpiece of abstract photography. Cool Rick, this I like. Greetings
Hey, I'm so glad you came over to play with Phun Phriday!. This is indeed Phun. I really like the abstract and the bubbles in it. We're back, safe and sound . . .well at least safe. More like safe and exhausted.
@Sashindoubutsu - thank you; I've done a bit of it in the past and I hope to do some more in the future - gets the creative juices flowing. Thanks for stopping by !
@Leovi - gracias, from the master himself ! Have a great weekend.
@Scott - I truly had phun doing this; will try to do some more soon - although the next few weekends are out due to travel requirements. Glad to hear you're back safe ... and loaded with gorgeous shots I'm sure - look forward to them ! Thanks Scott.
Hey you, what the .... is this. I love it don't get me wrong it's a true beauty but I can't seem to figure out what I'm looking at.
Okay you've told us oil and water...but what were how?
Hugs Dag
great execution!! congratulations!
what an interesting shot... very abstract.
Real Arty Rick, nice work.
So much color and texture! Lovely photo.
I like that "HER" cooking oil! lol Darn rights it's hers, it's her kitchen, her oil and her dishes!
Cool photo and I'm excited to see the renos at your sons home. I'm sure that I'll be green with envy but I'll get over it! ;-)
yes ... I'd like to know more ...
I didn't recognize the song you mentioned so I looked it up ... very sad almost
Oil & water ... depict two substances that can't totally mix and stay together...they will eventually separate.Yet they make a beautiful image together ... great phun shot Rick.
Will look forward to seeing the reno photos ... I'm sure the finished result will be well worth the extra dollars & time taken to make it happen.
Hey Rick, I really liked this creation! It was intriguing!
A great Sunday to you, dear friend!
Kisses with love and best wishes.
@Barefoot from Heaven - LOL ! The 'ingredients' were a flashlight, a Hawaiian shirt, a couple of glasses to balance a glass baking pan on, some water and some cooking oil - everything you need to have some phun ! ;-)
Hope you're surviving right now Dag !
@Costea Andrea Mihai - thank you Costea !
@becky - thank you Becky; my attempt to get out of the box occasionally ;-)
@imac - thank you mac !

@darlin - hey, I know better than to mess around in HER kitchen ! I've learned a few things after all these years ;-) So shhh, our little secret, right ?
I'll put up a few reno photos real soon - hopefully I remember :)
@S. Etole - see my response to Barefoot From Heaven, Susan.
@Katherine - thank you Katherine - sometimes putting 'opposites' together results in real phun ;-)
Reno photos soon - promise.
