Hopefully if I`ve figured this out, this post should appear around the time we`re driving into North Carolina, on our way to Florida.
And I also hope that by that time of day I`ve captured a few images to post later for my 365. In the meantime, I`ll submit this Sunset Sunday shot which I made when I was returning from shooting someone`s new kitchen (more on this later, I hope). I had to pull over a couple of times because the sky just kept growing more spectacular, and I was heading right for the sunset. I think my poor camera almost had a stroke trying to capture all the colour and light in that sky. The trees in the photo were about 1/2 mile or more away - I had my 70-200mm lens with a 2x extender on it at the time.

Thank you! It's wonderful, honey!
Have a great trip.
And... I'm feeling better now. ;)
Beijos.
^,^
Amazing sunset. Well captured!
Well....what can one say but SUNSATIONAL!
This is a truly spectacular sunset Rick.. I totally understand the desire you must have been feeling to keep stopping to take more & more photos. Enjoy your trip .. safe travels my friend!
This backlight with that orange sky is beautiful. Great frame. A greeting Leovi.
Absolutely stunning! Safe travels.
Firstly,
Gorgeous sunset!! Secondly.... you have too much fun!!! But good for you! Safe travels Rick... can't wait to see what else you see along the way!
:)
I never would have guessed you were driving to Florida. That's a long haul from the land of the Maple Leaf. Anyway, thanks for leaving this beautiful sunset on Sunset Sunday, and hope you have a wonderful and safe trip.
lieber Rick, ein vorstellbares Erlebnis,es kommt gut an, zusehen in dieser Intensität,die Bäume als Kontrast, viele Grüße von Jasmin
OH I love this. The entire sky is ablaze!!!
Hope your travels are going well.....
Soak up some of that sun for all of us here back in the north:)
Colourful and grand shot Rick.
I almost had to put on my sunglasses to view your sunset. There is a lot of color,and I'm glad you were out to capture it.
Rick you put a smile on my face on this Monday night, I didn't get to view blogs last night. What I'm smiling about is that you figured it out, you now know how to post even when you're out traveling. You see what you did now Rick? There's no more excuses to ever miss a day, ever again! lol I know how to do the future post but I take my shots the same day I post them... see very valid excuse! ;-)
The sunset is stunning, I love the color of the sky, the trees enhance the photo and you and your "magic" have captured another work of art in such an exquisite way that this must be framed. Mind you if you framed all of your stunning photos you'd need to move into a mansion to display them all! ;-)
Happy and safe travels, I'm looking forward to seeing the road trip shots. Cheers!
Gorgeous just gorgeous
What a great sunset
@teca - thank you teca, and good to hear you're doing better ! Muitos beijos !
@M. Hassan - thank you M!
@Katherine - thank you Katherine; the sky kept changing by the minute and I just had to watch and shoot, even though it was getting late for dinner.
@Leovi - I found the trees were so stark against that brilliant orange sunset; thank you Leovi.
@The Whimsical Gardener - thank you Cat. on both counts.
@becky - thanks Becky. Our objective was to get here and the travel schedule did not include photography shoots ;-) But I'll try to make up for it while here.
@Scott - just a quick little zip over the border Scott ! ;-) Actually we brought the dog, who does very well in a car but we didn't want to subject her to plane travel - she's never been in a crate and I think she'd be completely paranoid. Quit a haul for sure, and we'll be doing it 3 more times before spring.
@jasmin - danke Jasmin; sunsets are always a beautiful time of day - I never tire of them.
@Dawn - so far, so good Dawn ! I'll have a swim for you tomorrow ;-) And I'll look for another sunset - they are beautiful here !
@imac - thank you mac !
@Chad - ;-) I have a few more in that series - will save for another Sunset Sunday.
@darlin - ha ha, sometimes I don't bother learning about features until I have to use them; then I learn what I need to know and try it (no point using up my last few memory cells on stuff till I have to use it ;-) Thanks Darlene; I did finally print a bunch of photos - some on large canvas, and framed several others. I'm learning to be a little less self-critical (without getting a swollen head !).
@RedWillow - thank you Lisa !
@J_on_tour@jayzspaze - thanks for dropping by Jay and your comment !
