(Day 300) Reflecting on day 300 !

I am self-diagnosed as having ADD. When I was growing up there weren't neat little labels like that - and there certainly weren't pills to 'help' you. In fact what there was in school was a cuff on the ear, or if 'help' was really required, there was also 'the STRAP' (anyone around remember that ?). But I digress.

From my reading about ADD, I've found that besides the (sometimes, not always) difficulty in focusing and not becoming easily distracted, a sufferer (?) of ADD can also become very focused, almost to the exclusion of other things that need to be done, on a particular task or project. I think I experienced that when I built a cabin out back a few years ago. I would be out there every available waking hour working on it - in the WINTER (no bugs !).

Perhaps this positive (?) aspect of ADD is one of the things that has helped me reach day 300 of this Project 365. I would also like to think that it's the encouragement I have received from the many friends I have met here in cyberspace or bloggerland. So I found a nice little place on my way home from the dentist today to reflect on that.

300??? Wow, that is awesome. And I have to say most of them have had multiple great shots. Anyway, these certainly qualify with superb reflections.

Well Rick, my new blogger friend, it's been an absolute delight getting to know you through your camera lens. You are one heck of an amazing photographer, you are an extremely kind man and ADD? I hardly think so, you find serenity and peace and I see this through your photos. I also think with getting hooked on completing a project is determination not ADD, mind you I'm not a full fledged professional yet so don't cite me on that one k? :-). You sat today and reflected, now if you had ADD you wouldn't be able to do that in my opinion. And you took some stunning shots as per your norm!

So any plans on continuing next year? Jumping the guns here, you still have a few months to decide. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to go for year 3, one day at a time and I'll see how this one plays out. Have a fantastic evening and may the good Lord be with you and your loved ones.

Did you read Ansel Adams' Autobiography? He had ADD before the LABEL. Most of us have a little something in the psych dept... we probably wouldn't be human if we didn't. Oh the joys of the thinking mind! :) Me, definitely a little ADD, but I try to make it work for me- LOL.
Anyhow, well, glad you found a nice place to unwind after the dentist.
Happy 300th!

Long life for your projects, because we hope this one is only the first "365 daily project"! We like very much your photos, even if we don't leave every day a comment ;)

WOW! These two I like, very much. Some great colors (green very beautiful) and some reflections on the water very good. Amazing composition, a real artistic abstraction from nature. Greetings

@The Whimsical Gardener - thank you Cat; I draw on a lot of people here in cyberspace - couldn't have got this far without all the encouragement !

@Scott - you've certainly been an inspiration Scott, with your creativity and wonderful photography, not to mention Sunset Sundays and Phun Phridays ! Thank you !

@darlin - you've been one of my faithful supporters (and I think you've made me blush a few times ;-) I always appreciate hearing from you and admire your persistence in doing this for the 2nd year !! (Me and ADD ? - better discuss with my wife ;-)

As for year 2 ? I like your plan - one day at a time and we'll take it from there. Thank you Darlene, and may you and yours also be richly blessed !

@becky - no, unfortunately I haven't read his autobiography (added to my list). I consider myself in good company then - you and Ansel ;-) Thanks Becky - I appreciate your visits and comments ... oh, and your blog !

A little ADD now & then is relished by us blogger followers. If this is indeed what you have ... I would consider it a friend because it certainly has helped you to become the kind, creative person that you are today!!
Love these two new pictures ... such beautiful refections.... bring on the next 65 and we will all wait with anticipation!!

Rick, it's the Canadian, redneck sense of humor I'm blaming for some of the things I say! lol Life's way to short (and so am I) to not have fun, laugh and make others blush! ;-) Cheers!

@bicocacolors - gracias Elena !

@CarreraCaballo - thank you Joseph; the light was just right and the water was black - a perfect combo !

@imac - thank you so much mac ! May He bless and keep you on your journeys.

@marty - I have 'found' so many wonderful people here in bloggerland, and you are certainly one of them marty. I appreciate your visits, comments, and your beautiful photos - they're an inspiration ! Merci, merci et many, many bisous from this side of the pond ;-)

@Alexander DeLarge - thank you for your kind words Alex. A good weekend to you.

@Katherine - thank you so much Katherine - I had missed your visits for a while (understandable) and hope things are going better now. I've really learned a lot by doing this project, not the least of which is that there are a lot of wonderful people all over the world - and down under ! Somehow I don't think I'll give this up - I may want to re-visit the how and when, however.

@darlin- that`s the kind of humour I can appreciate; I think a redneck ain`t all that bad either - you usually get that from working hard outdoors, and that surely has to beat people hanging around malls, doing drugs, and expecting the government to bail their sorry a$$es out of trouble ! Thanks Darlene !
