I was playing with my grandson early this evening - he's almost 8 months old and is crawling. sort of. He gets up on all fours and launches himself forward, and repeats - fairly quickly now. But I was carrying him around, showing him neat things, like this old cow-bell-like thing hanging in the front hall that makes a lot of noise, the colourful fish in the aquarium, the cuckoo clock ...
And as I was walking past the front door, I noticed a pattern in the glass that caught my eye. I've probably seen it a thousand times before but hadn't really seen it, or perhaps the light was different this time. At any rate, I knew what my subject for today was going to be.
Note: I will likely be unable to post or visit any of your sites for the next few weeks. I will continue to shoot every day of course but access to the internet may be very limited or non-existent. If I don't have access, I will catch up with posting and visits when I return.

Few weeks huh??? I may have Rick withdrawals, but I hope that where you are going is fun and you have a great time and get some great photos. I'll look forward to your posts as always.
Will miss your posts! And, this wonderful glass is something special when enlarged! Wow!
Stunning light. I would be in withdrawl and tears with no internet.
Im not sure how you do it but then
you have little man at a very cute age to keep you busy so never mind any of us.
Have a great time.
That's so cute your grandson is crawling... sort of. Grandchildren are such a blessing
Another beautiful photo, it's so interesting and quite different from your other posts, I like it... they say a change is as good as a rest! :-)
I'm with everyone else, I'll miss your comments and your posts but will be looking forward to your posts when you return. Hopefully I'll have time to view and comment, I also may have to take a hiatus with university quickly approaching. I'll play it by ear and see how my time factor is.
Enjoy what it is you are up to and take care!

It's great to see things anew that we ordinarily may have missed. Love the repeating patterns. 2 weeks away from it all.... sounds lovely. Have a wonderful time!

Great color and frosted effect ... will miss your posts.
Amazing those things of beauty that can be right in front of our eye and just takes that special moment to see it. I for one have a couple days of full internet access. No hubby around to have to share the computer with. Just hope my provider doesn't shut me down as often happens cause I use way more then I pay for. Well at least I can catch up on some of your older posts.
I can see how this glass mosaic made you pause, the colours are so pretty & well worth a photo. I hope that wherever you are going & doing that you have a wonderful time. I know one thing for certain, you will be taking your camera and walking around with eyes wide open. We can all look forward to seeing some fantastic captures when you return once more. Have fun Rick!
Good subject, Rick. I enjoy shooting beveled/stained glass. My 2 grandsons (2nd/3rd grade) are playing football (3rd grader - first year in pads and my son is head coach). Another little football player on the way in Dec :) Catch you later!
Beautiful detail. My compliments for the blog and the photo.
Greetings
Beautiful. Funny what we overlook at times especially right under our nose(s).
